About us
The Zikmund Literary Agency represents excellent Central European writers to international publishers. Founded in 2025 by literary editor and translator Jan Zikmund, the agency launches with Czech authors as the Czech Republic prepares for its Guest of Honour spotlight at Frankfurt Book Fair 2026. The agency will expand to represent writers from Slovakia, Germany, Poland and across Europe.
Submission Guidelines
Our agency is currently near full capacity but remains open to representing exceptional authors, particularly those working in the following fields: graphic novels, books for children and illustrated books, and creative non-fiction.
We accept submissions in Czech, Slovak and English. German-language submissions are considered in the case of comics and children’s books.
Samples should be a maximum of 10 pages.
All submissions must include a synopsis of the work and biographical information about the author. Submissions that do not include both will not be considered.
Foreign rights must be secured by the author prior to submission.
