Tereza Bartošová

Tereza Bartošová (b. 1985) is a Czech writer who also works as a doctor. She is the author of a series of detective novels set in her native region. The individual books are connected not only by the pair of investigators but also by motifs from the dark ballads of the iconic 19th century Czech poet K. J. Erben. So far, she has published five widely-read novels, including The Waterman, a murder mystery drawing on the murky folklore of Central Europe.
